The ambience and relaxing feel of the island is further reinforced by many of hotels around Ubud. Most of them are set amongst lush tropical gardens, have friendly staff, often with a swimming pool and all amenities needed for you to feel comfortable. Range is great, but usually falls into 2 categories - small, cozy hotels under moderate prices or private luxury resorts. Ubud is becoming more and more popular so book in advance even for just the first few days and explore other options later.

What to expect
Most hotels can be divided into these 3 price categories. Have a look at what you can expect for your money.

USD $40 - $60 Comfortable	Wide range of very comfortable places to stay in this range. Most include a nicely decorated room usually with air conditioning, small fridge, outdoor sitting area,, shared swimming pool and a restaurant. Surrounding is usually a rice field, or a river view. Breakfast is included.
USD $60 - $100 High standard	You can expect air conditioning, spacious bathroom, a good restaurant, swimming pool, a nice view and good service. Some places will have Wifi. Breakfast is usually included. Most will be able to organize a tour, or have their own drivers ready to take you around the island for extra charges.
USD $100 - $200 Very high standard	Travelers seeking a little bit more luxury will find a variety of styles. From modern to more traditional styles, Ubud has a lot to offer. Hotels and resorts within this category are characterized by an outstanding service, great view, beautifully designed interiors, swimming pools, good food and Wifi. Drivers may also be available to take you around the island at your convenience for additional cost.
USD $200 and more Luxurious	High end luxury accommodation. These are usually private villas, which are part of a chain of a known hotel or resort with a picturesque view, top notch service, excellent food often prepared by award winning chefs and remarkable interior design to to help you rejuvenate and relax on your journeys. Expect all amenities, flat screen TV, Wifi, private swimming pool, spa, shops, restaurants and a driver available to assist you at all times, usually without extra charges..
