
Visa regulations change quite frequently. Its therefore essential for you to check with the nearest Indonesian Embassy before arrival as to what visa options are available for the period that you would like to stay in Bali.

Get a tourist visa on arrival or a one month tourist visa in an Indonesian Embassy of your country. This will allow you to stay in Bali for a period of 30 day. Fee for the "visa on arrival" is payable at the airport immigration office upon arrival.

Up to 60 days |
Extend tourist visa on arrival for another 30 days. Starting January 27, 2010 your tourist visa can be extended for another 30 days in the immigration office in Denpasar or in one of visa consultant offices in Ubud.

More than 60 days |
You are not allowed to stay on a tourist visa for longer than 60 days. If you would like to stay in Bali for longer than 2 months check with the Indonesian Embassy in your country for the best visa solutions. Muti entry visa, single entry social cultural visas, business visas are also available. |
Citizens from these countries can apply for a Visa on Arrival on entering Bali (DPS) or Jakarta (CGK) airport.

Important
Make sure your passport is valid (does not expire) for at least six months after your expected departure from Indonesia. If your passport is valid for less than six months they will turn you around at immigration and send you home, no exception.
Overstaying might be expensive and can make more difficult getting new visa. You will pay US $20 for every day of overstaying (if less than 60 days). For overstaying for more than 60 days five years prison sentence or IDR 25,000,000 fine.
